On Saturday morning Aiden and I went out to Fairlawn Walmart for a popcorn show-and-sale for a couple of hours and then he came home and has continued to sell throughout the weekend. So far he has gotten 18 out of the 30 sales he was shooting for and I am hoping that he can get to his goal in the last week we have left! We have to turn in our money and orders by October 24th so if you are still able to help out and place an order please let me know ASAP! To everyone that has already placed your order, Thank-you so much for the support!
After getting done with round one of popcorn sales, we all took a break to enjoy a nice pizza buffet lunch with my husband's Momma. We got together to celebrate my husband's birthday with her and it was really nice to get to spend a couple of hours together just talking and hanging out! **Thanks again for taking us out Momma!**
Then this morning we finished up Josh's birthday celebrations at Golden Corral with my Mom. Above is a dessert only a Grandma would approve of, but judging by the grin on Aiden's face he was more than thrilled! Each of the kids got a bag of cotton candy and threw their extra candy in the bottom before we made a trip to Burlington for some new clothes! Mom treated Josh to a new pair of jeans for his birthday. We also got a great deal on some pants for Aiden and picked up some socks for the girls!
There is something magical about looking at leaves as they change color in the Fall. This afternoon I spotted these beautiful leaves when the kids and I went to Bissett Park. I really love getting out to see the leaves change in the Fall! Right now the tree tops are just starting to explode with a fiery red that is just beautiful in the afternoon sunlight!
The little lending library is Emma's favorite part of our visits to the Park and she always finds something new to read. Today her book was all about animals and she was happy to have it for break time!
....She sure played hard for awhile before needing that break though!...
Isabella started on the swings as always, but didn't stay as long as usual before she ran off to the playground today. The playground didn't keep her interest very long either though... and before I knew it she had snagged a soccer ball from somewhere. I was very surprised at her newfound interest and watched her find and play with at least 3 different soccer balls to play with! We, of course, left the soccer balls approximately where she discovered them when we left, but she really had a ball kicking them around!
Aiden still loves going to Bissett Park because there are Poke-stops there, but he is always hopeful that there will be kids to play with. Today he was in luck and got to throw a football around with a couple of other kids that were there!
Pink Parfait Autumn Sunset
This weekend I dropped my loom down to the smallest setting and wove two x-small shawls. On the loom they measure 44 inches across the top and 22 inches from the top edge to the tip. I have pulled them both off the loom and will be taking them to Mom in the morning to see what kind of edging she has in mind. These shawls are very versatile, being small enough to work on a toddler as a large shawl, while still being big enough to be a small shawl on a woman with a slight frame! I think I am going to make two more colors in this size before moving up a notch to the setting for small shawls. Stay tuned for more sneak peeks of the projects in progress for
