Another of our favorite Summer pastimes is going to Bridgewater Marina on SML and feeding the carp. Josh, the girls and I went last Saturday while Aiden was visiting at my brother's house. The girls loved feeding popcorn to the fish and we even got to see some young Mallard ducks while we were there...
...If you look real close...under this duck are hundreds of large carp. Emma was too scared to touch on with her hand, but she stuck her foot in the water and touched on on the back that way. Isabella had her Daddy help her "pet" the fish and said it was "slimy"...
...Since Sunday was another pretty day the kids and I stopped at Green Hill Park in Salem, VA to get out some energy after a day of running errands and being in the car. Aiden has decided he doesn't want Mom always snapping his picture and he was good at staying out of the frame all afternoon, but he was there and had lots of fun! I love the variety of things to do at this playground! They have a rock climbing wall, different kinds of monkey bars, slides, swings, see saws and even a merry-go-round! Plus Green Hill Park offers a great walking path, swimming area, ball fields and more! This is my favorite park in the Salem/Glenvar area hands down!
