Oh the places we've been... Part Three #KureBeachNC

The last main attraction of our vacation this year was Kure Beach, NC! Kure Beach stretches all the way from Carolina Beach down to Fort Fisher and it is a beautiful stretch of beach.  At the Fort Fisher end of the beach there are lifeguards on duty and even public restrooms/changing facilities... plus a place to spray your feet off and some picnic tables...but the beach is a little steeper leading to the water...
...so we decided to go swimming a few blocks from the pier instead where the beach wasn't as steep...and we had a Blast!  This was the first time the girls had been to the beach... we took Aiden seven years ago, but he didn't remember it...so it was kinda like his first time too!
Josh, Aiden, Emma and I had a lot of fun on the boogie boards... Isabella wasn't quite brave enough for that this time around....
...but she still had fun in the surf...
Josh and I took turns taking Emma out and staying near Aiden while he played with the other boogie board.
The ocean experience helped to boost Aiden's self confidence... he even went under a few times and didn't break down...he just shook it off... wiped his face when needed... and jumped right back in the waves!  I am so proud of him and how he handled himself.
My little landlubber, Isabella...lol... she did find some neat shells to bring home...
...and she helped her Daddy and sister make a sandcastle!
Emma on the other hand couldn't get enough boogie board time in...
...and she paced the surf waiting for her next turn each time one of us needed a break!
At the end of the day we all had some new awesome memories, but we were exhausted too...We fit a lot into one day and the kids were out by the time their heads hit their pillows, but if I had it all to do over again I would do it in a heartbeat!  I am so grateful that we finally got to give our kids a vacation to remember!
