Go Outside and enjoy the fresh air at the 18th annual kite festival at Green Hill Park on April 16th from 10am - 4pm! This great family event is free and a great way to enjoy the outdoors at any age! If you aren't up for flying a kite anymore, bring out your lawn chair and watch the sky fill with kites of all shapes and sizes!
There will be free t-shirts, kites and ice cream for the kids on a first-come first-serve basis, while supplies last. The Richmond Air Force Fight club will be in town to dazzle everyone with their handmade kites and the Easter Bunny will also be in attendance handing out treats. For more information about this event please click here or here.
We have gotten to take the kids out to this event a couple of times and even with the crowd we were still able to enjoy flying our kites. Plus the kite clubs bring their special kites out and they are really fun to watch too. This year the festival is on my anniversary weekend and my kids will be with my brother and his family so they will have to see if they can behave good enough over there to get to go this year! I know they will have a blast and it's a great way to use up some of their endless energy!
