The girls got a lot of neat presents for their birthday, but sometimes the most practical gifts are the best ones!
The girls got these bags from their friend "James" for their birthday. His Mom said he got up the morning of the party, handed her the fabrics and told her how he wanted the bags made. It was too cute!...and the bags are very functional too. We needed to go to our home in Christiansburg this weekend and so we packed up their new bags and they toted them to the car. The girls were very excited to use them and how much stuff they could fit in there too. I wish I could have gotten a picture of Emma carrying hers...she had one arm in the air and was walking all sideways...it was too funny!
I know she had jewelry, books, stuffed animals, a blanket, her tablet and some more stuff in there... They are perfect and we want to send a big thank you out to Ms. Rebecca and James for making such a special and awesome present for the girls!
The girls had a great time at their party with their friends!
We were having so much fun I didn't have time to take too many pictures...and the kids were moving so fast the camera couldn't keep up with them...lol...They enjoyed pin the ribbon on the balloon, drop the clothespin in the jar, making treat bags and breaking a pinata.
I made all the games and went to the dollar store to get prizes for the winners (and for trying since some of the guests were still 4). The kids loved the pinata I made, but I think the ribbons on the inside were too much and we could have done without them...lesson learned...hopefully...hehehe...
We finished off the party with a hot dog lunch, some cake and ice cream and presents, of course. The girls loved their cake and all of their presents. They have been blowing bubbles and carrying stuff around in their bags for a week now. Thank you to everyone that was able to come and/or that sent gifts to the girls. They had an awesome 5th Birthday thanks to all of us! :0)
...next we're on to Kindergarten! Yikes! My babies are growing up way too fast!!!
