An exciting day for everyone!

My sweet "Is" was so excited to hold a chicken after school today....Not so sure how excited the chicken was...lol... but this bunch of hens has been handled since they were two days old and they are pretty accepting of the kids at this point. She had gotten a treat of scratch too, so she was pretty easy to catch.

Though Mom and I spent a lot of the day waiting for delivery people and installers, we had a very exciting day too! Today was the first full day of school this week, we got a new stove, worked on derby cars and even went to a 2nd & 3rd grade percussion concert tonight at the kids school.  The music teacher Mr. Wells did an awesome job planning the performance with 5 songs per grade that he wrote just for their performance.  I was a little apprehensive at first, but the program was just the right length and actually very nice to listen to.  Plus all of the students seemed to be really enjoying themselves! :0)

"A" really enjoyed the music performance too and was even excited to participate. (being in front of a crowd has never been his thing, but tonight he was all for it!)  He was so proud to have Mom, Grandma and Sissies there to support him and we were happy to be there for him too!

What's better than new appliances?  The huge boxes they come in of course...Lol...Em quickly claimed the box for herself and spent most of the rest of the afternoon in it!
 Last but not least, I do want to give a shout out to the Sears delivery guys that came out today!  They were very efficient getting the new stove inside and they even tossed the old stove in the back of my brother's truck so that it could go to the dump instead of making the yard look trashy!  Plus we were given a two hour delivery time frame and not only did they make it with time to spare, they also called us about 30 minutes prior to arrival to let us know they were on the way!  A+ for customer service Sears!
